1st CMAS Freshwater European Spearfishing Championship



The Scorpena Team is honored to be a general partner for the historic 1st CMAS Freshwater European Spearfishing Championship. 



This event was held from August 11th to 15th, 2022, at Lake Puruvesi, Finland.

Lake Puruvesi, the largest lake in Finland and it’s known for its exceptionally clear waters. Its healthy fish stocks and great visibility made it an ideal location for spearfishing.

Covering an area of approximately 420 square kilometers, Lake Puruvesi has an average depth of 8 meters, thanks to its extensive shallow areas. The lake also features deeper regions, with its deepest point reaching 61 meters.

The participants enjoyed this event so much that it later transformed into an annual competition called the Puruvesi Scorpena Cup.
